thank you mrs. delgado for teaching me how to blog my favorite book is fear and loathing in las vegas.
Thankyou mrs.Delgado for showing me how to blog. my faorite book is speak because it is so full of information about this girls life like a diary. joey neuzil per. 3
I think my favorite book would have to be "That Was Then This Is Now" S.E. hinton was a great author. The books are very interesting. I liked the setting of the book it was layed out in a uniqe way. the ending was troublesome, it left me with a couple thoughts. Thank you, sincerely pedro 3RD hour
Erik perod 3. Thank you Mrs.Delgado for showing us this site. My favorit book ever I think would be The First Part Last. It is about pregnancy, a strong issue that teens are dealing with to day.
My favorite book that I've read is probably Bleachers by John Grisham. He wrote the book so well that I read it twice and I usually don't read many books twice. I read the book for a 6th grade book report. I also read it for my 9th grade summer free read. The book is about Neely Crenshaw and his old football team. I liked this book because it is about sports and why you should never hold a grudge on someone.
My favorite book would have to be a book that I was read as a boy. The book is "The giving tree." The main reason for this book being my favorite is that as a kid it was the first book that I purchased. I would read it every night for two months. It taught me a very important moral that I still follow as a young adult today. Although I can now read and understand more intellectual literature, I have yet to find a book that has effected me in such a way that "the giving tree" has.
My favorite book is Leap Day by Wendy Mass. It is my favorite book because it is written in an interesting way and it is a good book. There is a part A and part B to every chapter so you read the book from the main character's view and then from everybody else's view. The main character is a girl who is about to turn 16 and her birthday is on Leap Day. She lives in Orlando and the entire book takes place over 24 hours so its very interesting. I read this book when I was in 6th grade but I still haven't read a better book.
Thank you Mrs.Delgado for showing us how to do this. I think this will be pretty cool.
My favorite book ever happens to be Fallen Angels. There is only one thing wrong about that book and it is the language. But all over all it is the best book out on the market. It is the best book out on the market because it is about the war and about real life. Steven
If you like Fallen Angels, you may like Sunrise Over Fallujah, the companion book also by Walter Dean Myers. This is about Robin Perry and his time in Iraq during the war there.
My favorite book is called Bimini Twist. I've read it 3 times and still haven't got sick of it. Unlike other books it is always changing with different, crazy, adventures. Also they fish the whole time which is my favorite thing to do and that makes it ten times better.
My favorite book that I have read recently is "Ballad of the Shinigami". It is my favorite book because it is about a little girl called Momo who is an Angel of death who collects souls. The book also shows how people feel and are before, either they die or someone close to them dies. Christian, Period 1.
Lisa ; Period 2. My favorite book would have to be, the most recent book that I’ve read. It’s called Perfect Match by Jodi Piccoult. Mrs. Piccoult is a very discrete writer. The entire book was written in such detail. The book is about an attorney, Nina, who mainly tries child molestation trials, and anything associated with that. It gets interesting when she has to step out of the attorney shoes, and play mom when her son is put into the victim position. It appeals to me, mostly because Nina takes on the career that I wish to have, as an adult. Also because Nina is courageous and determined throughout the book. Overall, the book was very entertaining, and enjoyable to read.
I am torn between two books, The Godfather and Is Your Mama a Llama? The Godfather was a great novel due to the fact that there was not one dull moment throughout the book. Moreover, I like how Mario Puzzo finishes the book by taking care of all the people that betrayed the Corleone family. On the other hand Is Your Mama A Llama? has sentimental value to me because it was the first book that I read by myself.
My favorite book, Stuck in Neutral. I haven't finished it yet but so far it is really interesting. I like it because it could be based on a real life situation. Also becasuse the chapters have kept me interested, and usually I get bored easily when reading. Sky.period1
my favorite book i think would probly be "john lennon all i want is the truth" i like it because it talks about one of my favorite musician's and the history of him
I don't have a favorite book, I have a favorite series. My favorite series is Harry Potter. The series is so intriguing, it seems to always have something going on and there are no parts in the books that are boring. The characters going through their problems and dealing with them help them to relate in reality but the magical events of Hogwarts and witches and wizards, makes the series so much fun to read. J.K. Rowling made a twist in every one of the books, up till the last book. The books kept my attention until the very last one, and even still I wish J.K Rowling wouldn’t end her series but keep writing with new and exciting ideas. The only thing she should’ve kept out was the epilogue in the last book.
My favorite book would have to be Tuesday's with Morrie. It is a very heart touching book and never has a dull moment. I had to do it for summer reading and it was so great that I read it in less than a day. It is about a man dying of a horrible disease who spends his last few months with the people he love sharing stories and memories of his life before it is over . Best book I have ever read by far. Berry-Period 1
My favorite books are the Shenandoah Sisters series. I like these books because they are historical fiction, and very interesting. They include true facts about history, and the hardships that people went through back then. The characters are definitely one factor that makes these books my favorite. The main characters are one white teenage girl, and an African American teenage girl. One is the daughter of a slave owner and the other is a slave, when there is a great tragedy and their farm is raided, and everyone is killed other than the two of them; the girls are left to take care of the farm by themselves. I read these books when I was a child, in around 5th grade, so I don’t remember them completely, and I am thinking about re-reading them.
My favorite book is probably Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepherd. It's about five best friends living in a really rich town in Pennsylvania; Emily, Aria, Spencer, Hanna, and Ali. Ali was always the leader of the group and they were all really popular. In seventh grade though, Ali mysteriously goes missing one night. The book picks up in High school and the girls are no longer best friends and have moved on from Ali's disappearance. The girls live scandalous lives and have many secrets. For example, Spencer has a habit of stealing her sister's boyfriends, and Aria’s father is cheating on her mother with a young art teacher. Anyways, the girls start receiving small notes with secrets only Ali knew, and nobody else. The notes are all signed "A," and they have no idea who A is because Ali was presumed dead. The girls start becoming friends again as more drama goes on throughout their high school years and they are still stalked by "A." It's a really entertaining book and I could never put it down.
My favorite book would have to be the books in the Twilight series. I just really like how their written because it's interesting, and a page-turner. I like the romance in it, and the action. Also, even though the characters in it are in high school, Stephenie Meyer's mature writing makes it so it doesn't seem that way.
My favorite book is the Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. This is my favorite book because it shows a relationship between friends, the boy and the tree. It shows how children can be selfish and people do give and give to the ones they love. The Giving Tree was my favorite book when I was younger too. I would have to say a main reason for this book being my favorite is that I grew up reading the book and it is a part of my childhood that I like to remember.
One of my favorite books that I have read recently is New Moon by Stephanie Meyer. It is the last book of the twilight series and in my opinion is one of the best book in it. This final book concludes the on-going love story of Edward and Bella and it was very interesting to read! Overall I loved this book.
I think my favorite book would have to be Where the Wild Things Are. I really like this book because it has cool monsters in it and the cool land Alex goes to just rocks! I think everyone should read this book because it really makes you use your imagimation and everyone should use there imagination. It can take you to diferent places just like Alex, from the book.
My favorite book is "Tears of a Tiger". The reason I like this book so much is because I enjoy reading about characters that go through alot and try to find a way out. This book is not really from my child hood I read this book my freshman year and now I still talk about it to others.
i would say that my favorite book is Maximum ride. the characters are inspirational. i also like that it switched around the school is bad, its like a little kids dream. Flying, who wouldnt want to fly.
I have many of favorite books but I can’t think of any right now. A book that I really enjoyed was Go Ask Alice, because it was based on a true story and that’s what I liked because it seemed so real. The book Go Ask Alice was in a dairy form but it didn't take away of the story at all. The reason I don’t think so is because even though you didn't get to read dialog or read exactly what went on it still kept you interested. Also Alice really wrote down all the important details and left out the rest that wasn't all that important. I would recommend this book to anyone, especially kids my age because everyone goes though peer pressure and getting caught up in just trying to fit in, in high school. Paula-Block1
It is just too hard to pick one book and call it my favorite, but one of the books I have found to be particularly enjoyable is RUBY by -Lauraine Snelling. It's one of my favorite books because of the main character,Ruby, I admire how she handles different situations throughout the plot. The book is told in Rubys perspective and takes place in the late 1880s. I think that her character is such a strong person, who has traits I think are important in a person (responsibility, perseverance, respect, manners, kindness, intelligence, etc. ) especially for a woman of that time period. I bought the book a few years ago and read it periodically so as to remember the importance of being a civilized young lady, who can face anything the world throws at her, not to mention the book is overall a fun and exciting book to read.
I would have to say my favorite book is one that I have recently which is The Last Patriot By Brad Thor for multiple reasons. One is that I love a book with a lot of fighting and action and this book doesn't disappoint in that aspect. I also love how the suspense in this book kept you wanting to read more. Lastly I like this book because of the great detail the author puts into his description of the fights. I recommend The Last Patriot to any one who likes suspense and some interesting history about the founding fathers.
My favorite book is My Sister's Keeper because it has so many themes and is full of suspense. Jodi Picoult is a very intereting writer, and the fluency with which she writes with makes her stories so easy and unavoidable for me to get into. This story is about a sister who has lukiemia and no one to donate blood or platelets for her, she the parents create a "designer baby" which the same blood type as her older sister. Throughout her life, the younger sister is being held back to supply for her sister, whom she would not have been born without. So one day the sister decides to sue her parents. I Will always treasure the literary value this story holds for me. -Casey 2nd
My favorite book is Twilight. I am really into romance books. Twilight is about Bella and Edward who fall in love with eachother. Edward is a vampire and he craves for her blood. Their love is forbidding and that is my favorite aspect of the story. Mirialys Ruano - Period 2.
My favorite book would have to be "Carrie" by Stephen King. This is because "Carrie" shows great moral themes, such as "what comes around goes around." it also contains many scenes that people can relate to, such as bullying.
My favorite book is the Harry Potter series which I started reading when I was younger... I'm not really sure why i like the books so much. The way J.K. Rowling writes just really makes me want to read them (over and over) and the whole story fits perfectly in together without leaving any loose ends or questions unanswered.
My favorite book would have to be The Pact by Jodi Picoult. When I read this book I laughed, and I cried. The characters, Chris and Emily, were two teens in love when they “created” a suicide pact. The book tells events from the past, which led to Emily wanting to commit suicide, and eventually Chris shooting her at the carousel where they were supposed to both end their lives. This book was my favorite because it had the ability to make me laugh and cry, and I have yet to read a better book.
Charly Period 2 For me this is a tough question because I don't just have one favorite book, I have many. But the two that are my most favorite are The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks and the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. The Notebook is one of my favorites because I like Nicholas Sparks’s style of writing. He uses very descriptive words and I can easily imagine the setting; which is usually in North Carolina because that’s where he is from. My favorite characters from this novel are of course Noah and Allie. I love the fact that they are so different but yet they are so meant for each other. Also because they seem to genuinely love each other and I find that super sweet. I wish that I could find someone like Noah and live my life the way they do because I would be with my true love. In addition to this book I also really love the Twilight series because the whole plot, characters, and setting is amazing. I like how she made Edward seem so perfect. He sounds like the dream boyfriend; he has good looks, a body, and great personality what more do you need. I also like that the story takes place in Forks, Washington (a made up town for all of you that don’t know that). This is the perfect town that the Cullen family needs to keep their secret about being vampires hidden. I love how Bella and Edward’s love is so pure. I know this may sound weird but when I’m reading the books I can see my self as Bella and I imagine Edward as my dream man. When I’m done reading I have dreams about the book and I relive the good parts in person, if that makes any sense. I love that Bella and Edward finally got married and that they can now spend the rest of their lives together. I recommend anyone who likes romance to reads these books because they are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!!!
My favorite book would have to be Crank by Ellen Hopkins. Her books are very realistic and harsh about the difficulties in your life, especially if you start using drugs. I also like the poetic form that the book is written in. I think it can make the book more suspenseful in certain parts of the story. The book has a big theme about not doing drugs and making the right choices, the whole time I was reading the book all I could think was that I would never want to be the main character and have to go through the things she dealt with. Even though it’s a fast read I still think it’s a great book and really makes you think about your life.
Drew:I have done exactly the same thing you have, which is reading my favorite book several times, and I never get bored of it either. Evertime I pick up The Little Prince I always learn something new about any of the characters, and their attitudes feel real;therefore, I become even more involved with the story.
EVERYONE ATTENTION! i think everyone should read the book Five People You Meet in Heaven@ it is a great book i just finished it and it was absolutly wonderful!
The book that i think that sounds good would probly have to be 20,000 leagues under the sea it seems like it has a lot of good things about the book. The person that read it says it has a lot of adventure and thats sound real intristing. He says it also has a good climax. victorc period1
My favorite book would have to be the outsiders.Pony Boy was a trip in that book and its just event after event and it has a great deal of suspense. It was an all around great book and the movie was good as well.
I would have to agree with sky in period one. the book stuck in neutral is very good. it is heart felt and is very entertaining. once you pick it up it is hard to put it down and the story line is so clearly thought through. definatley a must read.
My favorite book is the outsiders. The book had a great deal of suspense and was just exscitement all the way so if u like a book with a great deal of suspense this is the book for you. It also has a movie to go along as well.B victor 1
well, i have read like 20 books. but yes there was one that liked me.it was "en busca del azul"; in english is called "finding the blue".it was about a girl who loves to make clothes and she can't walk.she has just a friend.her mother die when she was litle and she lives in a poor house.at the of the book she found her father.this book make cry because something similar happened to me.
The title of my favorite book is "Zig Zag". It is my favorite book because it's a lot like life today in the sense that there is a lot of bad language. It is a book I recently read and I would offer it to anyone the age of sixteen or above.
My favorite book is "Forever" by Judy Blume. The book is all about real teenage love and how it happens. It has been my favorite since I was younger. It is about real life situations.
Hi victor i think i am going to try Stuck in Nutral after im done with Two Badges because like you i like to read books about suspense so i think i would want to try that book out, mabe you should try Two Badges because its a great way to find out what a girl named Mina went through when growing up and being in gangs all her life and deciding to change her life growing up. So im going to try Stuck in Nutral and you should try Two Badges its really GOOD... :)
Stuck in Neutral sounds like a good book. Since Sky mentioned that it kept her want to keep reading even though she gets tired of books easily. Maybe I should read that book oneday...
dear jose I agree with you due to the fact that i read the book to and watched the movie and i thought the book was a million times better than the movie how it shows about the rich and poor and gang life is really inspiring.
eric period 3. i honestly thought that bleachers mas kinda boring at the begining and then it got better in the end. it didnt talk enough about football. but overall it was an alright book. Robert period 3
jose period three I also like the outsiders. It does have to relate with gangs and how people survive through life. i really thought it was full of information. joey per three
I have read Sunrise Over Fallujah, and i really did not care for it. It really did not have the excitement for me. like in Fallen Angels had the killing and the violce.
I didn't care much for that book beacause that is all it is about, two groups of people a the Greasers (poorer people) and the Soshes (richer prople). And they fought over the teritory and the places that they wanted to own.
jose period 3 This book is one of my Favorites. I like how they have gangs and protect each other. The other thing i like about the Outsiders is that they all care about each other like family. alex period 3
The book that enterest me the most would be the book im reading now which is "Just Listen".This book give me interest because it deals with teen situations like, two friends fighting over a guy, and famiily situations like the main character sister is bulimic and her family is going through that situation trying to help her. shantay prd.3
Tears Of A Tiger READ THIS BOOK. It's an eye opener for all athletes. The story is about Andy (a high scool kid) how had a friend (A student, capten and star of the basketball team) died in a car accsident. Andy was the only one that was not drinking so he was the driver for the night, and now has his friends death on his conscience.
I have done the same as you whaen ever I reread a novel I always find I a new setting in the book or something I have not known about the characters, and their attitudes to one another. one example is in Fallen Angels the main character always cuses then I reread the book and found that the character does not like to cuse.
Ismael, I agree with you on the "Giving Tree". It is a childrens book, and yet it is a book that can be enjoyed by all ages which also teaces us morals. Sarah per. 2
Ismael Sandoval period 2, I was in the same situation Estaban from period 2, is in when I was pondering as to which book I should blog about, i came across two books. "The five people you meet in heaven", which i recently read, and "the giving tree" which was the book that was my childhood favorite. "the giving tree did provide me with many moral values, but "the five people you meet in heaven" made me rethink how and for what purpose i was living my life, and also how my life was going to be after death. In the end I chose "the giving tree" because to this day, if I ever see it I will read it.
I agree with you The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton was a good book and it did have a lot of action. My favorite part is when that one guy runs out with a gun and gets shot and killed by the police and when they checked his gun it was unloaded. If you like S.E. Hinton you should read Rumble Fish. Esteban Pd.2
To: Ismael Ismael, I couldn't agree with you more about the values that the Giving Tree has taught us. That book is so simple yet so effective on our virtues. I also am glad to see one of your reasons as to why the Giving Tree is your favorite book is because the book was a part of your childhood. I believe it is important to hold on and cherish aspects of your childhood such as a favorite book or stuffed animal.
Jose, That book the outsiders is amazing. It has so much excitement and your right about how they show different classes of people and that makes things even more exotic and unforeshadowing. However, things get a little sad and girly in the end which kind of makes the book not my top favorite. Though still one of the better novels. Drew
i think i have go with erik from period 3. the book the first part last......it sounds like it could relate to alot of girls i know that are pregnant or already have had there babies. Jessica 1st period
The notebook sounds like a great novel from what Charlie wrote. I also love Nicholas Sparks and I agree with what she said about how he is a very descriptive author. I read half of this book at the begining of the year but i never got to finish it, but now i think i might go back and read it all over.
To: Annabelle Annabelle , I really like historical fiction books (But my opinion many be a little bias because those types of book are my favorite ) and I think those types of books are fun to read and help link to actual events in history (like you said). "The Shenandoah Sisters" seems like a really good book that I would like to read. I would defiantly recommend re-reading the series, I have done that with all of my favorite books and found that the more I read them the more I can understand the events and the characters lives with in the story. :)n
I completely agree with everything you said. The poetic way, in which she writes the story creates an easier path to follow the outline of the story. Ellen Hopkins is very brutally honest, majority of her story. She's very up front about everything, and she's well educated on the topics of her books. I felt like I was in the story because it was so greatly detailed. Overall, i thought it was great!
I could'nt agree with you more. The Twilight series are amazing. Don't you just love Edward and Bella? Only 21 days until the movie comes out. I can't wait to see if they stuck true to the story casue if not I am going to be very mad. I wish that the series didn't end becasue I enjoyed reading the books so much. Again I absolutely agree with you.
Ashley S, I agree with your thoughts on Crank. I thought the book showed a lot of life difficulties and troubling thoughts. I can't even imagine being addicted to drugs and wasting my life away, by doing it. I especially liked the poetic writing Ellen Hopkens uses, I agree with you on how it adds suspense to some parts, it makes you want to keep reading each paragraph.
Leap Day by Wendy Mass sounds like an interesting book. The fact that it is written first in the main characters perspective, and then in everyone elses sounds extremely amusing , and intriguiging. I also always wondered about people who's birthday was on leap day. I am curious how that works out for her.
Thanks, Annabelle P2
P.S. Ms.Delgado, on my original comment I didn't leave what period I was in.. It is second period.
I didn’t say that Twilight was my favorite book but I think it’s defiantly my second. I totally agree with you, the book is so dreamy and perfect. The way she describes it I feel like I can see everything that’s happening in the story in my head. I also like the way she talks about the town, it’s so mysterious.
My favorite book would have to be 'Another day in paradise'. I read this book over the summer and i definitely enjoyed it. i think this book appealed too me so much because it was a suspenseful book with the interesting twist of the life of a hardcore drug user/dealer. The author, Eddie Little, did a fantastic job on this book and it was a fun, exciting read.
I agree that the Giving Tree is a great book! I love the good message that this book sends to people of all ages. It shows how everyone is selfish and in a friendship there has to be an equal balance of give and take. I also loved reading it when I was younger and I will never forget this book! Good choice of a favorite book!
I would have to agree with Casey from period 2 about My Sisters Keeper. This book has a very interesting story line as Casey has already described. I also found the stile in which the author wrote this book was very unique. This was the first book that I read that has each chapter told from a different persons point of view. I have to admit it was a little hard to follow at first but once I got into the book I found that the chapters flowed together very well. This book was very enjoyable for me and had a very surprising ending. I would recommend this book to just about anyone that I know because there are so many different characters that people can relate to. I look forward to reading other books of Jodi Picoult’s.
That is another one of my favorite books is stuck in neautral. I agree with u skye i get bjored easily to and that book kept me wanting to read and read and read
To Esteban, I think we all know what an amazing book the giving tree is; It takes a life lesson that even adults struggle to hold onto, and teaches it to kids, who seem to have no problem with it. This lesson is the one and only Sharing Through Unconditional Love. When you read it as a kid, you won't really sit there and think about the real meaning, but you know there is something special about it. Then when you go back and read it as an adult, you realize the theme and start to think that maybe Shel didn't really write it for kids.
Casey, I'm reading My Sister's Keeper right now. I only just started today, but I see what you mean about the suspense in which Jodi Piccoult creates. It has kept me turning pages, and I look forward to seeing what Anna does throughout the story. The only thing that confuses me though, is the way that after Ms. Piccoult totally explains one setting and situation, she just stops and goes on to describe a different scene. It throws me off balance and almost confuses me. It also frustrates me because I never know if she will return to the first situation! But, as I said, I am very eager to finish the story because it is very interesting.
Kyle from period 3 says that his favorite book is Harry Potter and I think that is a great choice. Harry Potter is filled with adventure and magic. I believe magic is a wonderful concept filled with imagination. With magic you can do the impossible and Harry Potter is also one of my favorite books.
my favorite book is the giving tree for many reasons. It is my favorite book because not only does it tell and story, but it also tells a life lesson. The characters are the tree, and a little boy who progressively grows into an old man throughout the book. the plot of the story is a boy and a tree are best friends, but as the boy gets older he wants all these things, which the tree happily gives him. This is a book both from my childhood and that i have recently read, i enjoy reading through the pages every time i pick up the Giving Tree. James, period 2
i agree with mckayla, the giving tree is and excellent book. i almost cry every time i read the book. i also thought that the little boy was very selfish. along with this is also agree with her that the tree gave the young man what he wanted because they were such great friends to the end. james, period 2
Lisa, i Agree. the book perfect match by Jodi Picoult is also one of my favorite books. i think that it shows how people will contradict themselves, to save the people they love. Jodi Picoult is my favorite author, and i would reccomend her book Nineteen minutes, which is also very good.
A setting is the backgroud of the book, some times it may say a point in time. In Unnecessary roughness the setting is a small town in Minnasota ome were in the 1990s. The mood is frastrating because he is trying to fit in at school and make his dad proud at the same time.
The setting of the story, The Masque of Red Death, takes place in Prince Prospero’s mysterious palace. His palace has seven beautiful rooms in which a masquerade ball takes place. Each chamber is unique in its color scheme and design. The author of this story is Edgar Allen Poe. He uses many descriptive words that create imagery for the reader and to create a mysterious and haunting mood for the story. An example of when he used this in the story is when Poe describes the seventh chamber saying that is has, “blood tinted windows.” Using this type of descriptive language helps describe the characters and plot in many ways. For example the masquerade help describe the revelers personality. Also, the seventh chamber reflects their death along with the clock, which represents the fact that time is running out for them.
I agree with Michelle from first period about the Harry Potter series. The book never is boring and always has something going on. It really almost ruins the series that she has to end them but the books are amazing all the same. And I also strongly agree that the epilogue could have been excluded from the book, it made it seem too much like a fairy-tale or super long bed time story.
My favorite book is Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. I absolutly love this book, because ofthe charachters in it.My favorite character in this book was Edward cullen. I've read this book about two times i was addicted when i read the first chapter. I read it last year and ever since then it has got me hooked on it.
I agree with you. The book "The Outsiders" is a little bit repetative because the greasers and the soshes pretty much fight back and forth throughout the whole story. The story was interesting but it just got too repetative.
Of course i love the twiligh series like all of the rest of you. And it is certainly one of my favorites. However I wanted to tell everyone about a series that i've loved almost a year before i read twilight. And emily M. and i read twilight back in middle school. Anyways the book first book is called Bloody Jack By L.A Meyer. And its about a young girl in the early 1800s who looses all her family and realizes that only males have anyway of becoming anything better then a street bum. So she ripped off her dress and wore boys cloths since she was not yet developed. She found her way on a Royal Navy Ship as a ships boy. But with this came great dangers for she was only a younge girl. And throughout the six books in all, she come close to death countless time, stays true to her first love Jaimy Fletcher, and speaks her mind. I Advise everyone to read it. I love it just as much as i love twilight. And thats saying somthing.
One of my ultimate favorite books is 13 reasons why by Jay Asher. it is such a page turner. Although i loved twilight, i have to say 13 reasons why is still my favorite. its about this girl who killed herself and she leaves a box full of casset tapes for 12 people to hear exactlly why she killed herself and that they were the reasons why she did what she did. i recomend this book to anyone who loves a good page turner.
My favorite book is Hornet's Nest by Ken follett, It is my favorite beacuse I can really relate to its setting in Denmark, mainly beacuse the majority of my family is from there. I also really like the plot of how he fly's to escape the Nazi's. This is a book I read pretty recently, in the last few years. Matt period 7
I also like harry potter beacuse of the magic and the idea of another world out their. I also like the fantasy ideas portrayed in the story. Matt period 7

Also they fish the whole time which is my favorite thing to do and that makes it ten times better.
my favourite book is "Dragon riders of Pern", because there is a lot of fantasy and creativity to its storyline.
my favorite book would have to be 20,000 leagues under the sea. the book has lots of adventure and a good climax.

My favorite book would have to be Meg. I liked it because it was suspense ful and unlike movies it wasn't predictable.

My favorite book that I have read recently is "Ballad of the Shinigami". It is my favorite book because it is about a little girl called Momo who is an Angel of death who collects souls. The book also shows how people feel and are before, either they die or someone close to them dies.

As the years progress I have discovered books to be a great treasure with beautiful teachings but no book has ever taught me so much as The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupéry.This book involves sucha deep meaning relating popular dilemmas such as alcoholism and work obssesion. This book explores the complex minds of adults and it helps us see the world in the eyes of an innocent child who has lived in solitude in another planet for many years and finally decides to explore other planets and what they have to offer. From this book I ave learned how unthankful one can be at times, and how wonderful it is to live and love everything that sorrounds you.

-Annabelle

Michaela Period 2-
My favorite book is the Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein.

Kathryn Simoga pd 1 My favorite book is Touching Sprit Bear. I read it in 8th grade. I liked the main charater.

Mrs.Delgado I posted my comment under the name of Anamaria P. but I just saw that I didn't write what period Im on..its period 2.

Becca Read- Period 2
My favorite book would have to be The Pact by Jodi Picoult. When I read this book I laughed, and I cried. The characters, Chris and Emily, were two teens in love when they “created” a suicide pact. The book tells events from the past, which led to Emily wanting to commit suicide, and eventually Chris shooting her at the carousel where they were supposed to both end their lives. This book was my favorite because it had the ability to make me laugh and cry, and I have yet to read a better book.

For me this is a tough question because I don't just have one favorite book, I have many.

That book the outsiders is amazing. It has so much excitement and your right about how they show different classes of people and that makes things even more exotic and unforeshadowing. RE: ASHLEY SHERRILL P . 2 ;

To Esteban,
I think we all know what an amazing book the giving tree is; It takes a life lesson that even adults struggle to hold onto, and teaches it to kids, who seem to have no problem with it. This lesson is the one and only Sharing Through Unconditional Love. When you read it as a kid, you won't really sit there and think about the real meaning, but you know there is something special about it. Then when you go back and read it as an adult, you realize the theme and start to think that maybe Shel didn't really write it for kids.
that last comment to esteban was from Casey from 2nd by the way... sorry.
Casey,
I'm reading My Sister's Keeper right now.

And I also strongly agree that the epilogue could have been excluded from the book, it made it seem too much like a fairy-tale or super long bed time story.

jose per three I also liked the outsiders. Because it is always coming out with new information all the time.
My favorite book is Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. I absolutly love this book, because ofthe charachters in it.My favorite character in this book was Edward cullen. jose period 3,
I agree with you.
